Try reading the JPEG directly from the Flashcard (I will do this as soon as I get it working under Linux! :) and check the resolution. In the case where I got 64 bulks, it actually told me to get 64 (and I counted it in the trace dump, and it was right :-) Don't know how it is going to get 685 into a single byte though!
