Uff, guys, Dennis' code is unbelivable!!! I can download pictures! Yes, really! One at a time. I just change the Byte for the pic number in the camera, and then it gets the picture!!! This really ROCKS!!! :-))))) So the code and everything works. It comes, as I said in EXIF but you can view it with XV. Strange is, it comes in 1024x786. So the buld in "PhotoGenie" mechanism, is probably done by the software, and we can't use it. Also the "QuickFix" option is done by the Windoof software, what di you think? Anyway, I get the pictures! The problem is, that I'm reading to many bulk packets. I'm reading 720, but my picture is only 685 or long. This means, that the connections time out and I kill a.out with CTRL-C. Also: Our code saves too much then. XV complains about a "premature" end of the file, but IT DISPLAYS THE PICTURE ANYWAY!!! HEY GUYS, WE MADE IT! THE BLODDY HELL THING IS WORKING UNDER LINUX!!! Anyway, next thing is, to read the number of pictures. I know where this is. Then we implement a loop, which reads ALL the pictures. And a command lne option for choosing the pictures i should read. Would be great. Then we have to find out, where the length of the picture is, so we will read the exact number of bulkpackages/bytes. Guys, thanks for your fantastic help so far! And for thanks, I will include a picture to this mail, the FIRST downloaded picture from a cl20 by LINUX!!! Don't be afraid os the monster, it's just me... ;) Bye, Phil -- Wenn man keine Ahnung hat, einfach mal Fresse halten.
